It is designed to create the safest space possible to work out, learn exercise technique and get to know and love your body the way it is.
If done right, training- makes you stronger!- boosts your mental health!- helps to come to peace with your body!- helps with your posture!- can be very healing!And the best part: it doesn’t need much time, space or equipment!If you don’t fit into society’s norms, starting to do sports can be a risk, you can’t take: - The sports industry pictures mostly white able-bodied cis men with six packs (and sexualizes cis women)- This suggests that all of us who don’t fit into this description aren’t welcome or aren’t allowed to train at all.
- Our very fatphobic society suggests, that the only real reason to train is to get thinner and/or more muscular.- And on top of that you might think you don’t have time, equipment or space to work out anyways.BUT: You don’t need to have ANY prerequisites to train at all!The queer muscle app is for you, if you can say "yes" to one or more of the following statements: - you dont feel safe or comfortable in gyms or conventional sports courses- you are tired of people assuming to know your goals by looking at you- you want to learn what kind of exercises YOUR body needs- you lack motivation to work out- you want to learn proper technique of strength training exercises- your goals are different from other peoples goals- you dont feel represented in societys picture of people working out- you want to move your body more often- youve tried other stuff but it wasnt personalized enough for you and your needs- you want to be part of a very cool, engaging, motivating, mostly queer community
